Maude-Aimee Leblanc of Sherbrooke, Que., has one more round to make it into the top 10 on the money list who move on to LPGA Tour next year and she’s within reach of where she needs to be when the Symetra Tour Championship ends Sunday at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Leblanc came into the Tour Championship in 15th place on the money list and needs at least a fourth place finish to possibly finish in the top 10 who will receive LPGA status for next year.
She’s currently tied for eighth after shooting a one-under 71 in Saturday’s third round, leaving her at seven under, six shots off the lead.
Quebec City’s Anne-Catherine Tanguay is a shot behind Leblanc after she shot an even par 72 on Saturday.
Samantha Richdale of Kelowna, B.C., who started the week in 19th place on the money list, is tied for 19th at five under after shooting a 70 on Saturday. She needs at least a solo second finish to potentially earn LPGA status.
