Calgary’s Jennifer Ha shot a two-under 70 and is tied for 14th after the opening round of LPGA qualifying school Wednesday at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla.
That left Ha three shots off the lead going into Thursday’s second round.
Players will compete in 90 holes of stroke play, with a cut after 72 holes to low 70 and ties.
The top 20 at the end of Q-school will receive LPGA status for next season and those who finish 21st to 45th will receive conditional status.
