High winds continued at the Bahamas Great Exuma Classic on Monday where only two players were under par at the Web.com Tour season opener, including former Mackenzie Tour-PGA Tour Canada player Dan McCarthy, when play was suspended due to darkness on Monday.
Nicholas Thompson was in the lead at two under, while fellow American McCarthy was one under. Both had finished their second round, including Thompson, who shot a five-under 67 on Monday.
Corey Conners of Listowel, Ont., was two under through four holes when play was called, leaving him as top Canadian at five over, which left him tied for 14th.
Adam Svensson of Surrey, B.C., was one under through eight holes and tied for 31st at seven over, along with Roger Sloan of Merritt, B.C., who was one under through two.
With the projected cut at 10 over when play was called, four Canadians were in position to miss the final two rounds.
