Team Canada shot an opening-round team score of five under par 137 to sit alone in second place after the first day of the 2010 Men’s World Amateur Team Championship in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The Canadian trio of Eugene Wong of Vancouver (67), Albin Choi of Toronto (70) and Cam Burke of New Hamburg, Ont. (75) is two shots back of France heading into Friday’s second round.
France and Canada hold down the top two positions followed by Denmark, Sweden and England, each tied for third at three under par.
Wong holds a share of the overall individual lead after his opening-round, while Choi is tied for ninth and Burke has a share of 76th.
