Brad Fritsch came through with a critical birdie on 18 to force a playoff at the Servientrega Championship in Cartagena, Colombia, which he won on the first hole against American Ollie Schniederjans on Sunday.
Fritsch, who began the day one shot off the lead, got it to two under with birdies at the second and fifth holes before a bogey on nine had him making the turn at one under.
He got it back to two under with a birdie on the 10th before bogeys on 13 and 17 left him at 10 under going on to the final regulation hole.
Meanwhile, Schniederjans birdied three of his final six holes, including the 18th, with just one bogey in that six-hole stretch, to push him to 11 under, requiring a birdie by Fritsch on 18 to force the playoff.
Fritsch did just that to finish the day with a one-under 71 and force the extra hole before parring the first playoff hole for the victory.
