Doug Hastie, a teaching professional at Cordova Bay Golf Course near Victoria, thinks so and points out in this opinion piece that the rewards of the game are even more important than they were years ago.
And Reto Steiner, owner of the Woodside Golf Course in Airdrie, Alta., and president of the National Golf Course Owners Association of Canada, says one such article is “a doomsday picture of golf, sprinkled with a dose of fiction and some inappropriate U.S. statistics.”
