Syngenta, a company with focus on crop productivity and protecting the environment, is seeking a turf specialist to achieve sales and profitability targets by leveraging technical expertise and relationships at end user level to increase volume and market share of Syngenta Professional Turf products.
Based in the area of Guelph, Ont., he position also entails key account management of selected retail partners to ensure execution of plans to reach sales targets for Syngenta products.
Contribute to achievement of sales and profit margins by leveraging technical skills at end user level.
Co-develop and execute appropriate marketing strategies to achieve volume and financial targets.
Develop retailer account plans and gain alignment for achievement of sales targets.
Involvement in new product launches in development of go-to market strategy and product positioning.
Develop pull-through programs, based on opportunities realized at end user level.
Manage relationships with key centres of influence in the turf industry nationally.
Prescribe technical product recommendations to drive sales at end user level.
Develop golf course and competitive product database.
Develop technical training sessions for distributor partner sales personnel.
Collaborate with distributor partners.
Develop technical literature and correspondence for dissemination to distributor partners and end users.
Liaise with U.S./global turf and ornamental team for technical information, competitive knowledge, and industry changes.
Broad knowledge of the turf industry and all aspects of turf management (fertilization, cultivation, irrigation, pest identification and control) to reinforce respect and credibility amongst end user groups.
Solid technical expertise of all turfgrass chemicals to make product recommendations that motivate end users to purchase and use Syngenta products with high confidence.
Technical knowledge in all aspects of turf management to provide solutions to end users using a comprehensive approach.
Agronomic problem-solving ability.
Sales skills to drive purchase behavior.
Interpersonal skills to build solid relationships to gain credibility and trust with end users and centres of influence.
