Silver Springs Golf and Country Club in northwest Calgary is seeking a golf course superintendent to replace the retiring Paul Dodson.
Providing ideal playing conditions for an active membership and promoting membership growth and development of the club’s golfing programs.
Contributing to the long-term success and profitability of Silver Springs Golf and Country Club.
Demonstrating leadership qualities and the ability to teach, train and direct a seasonal staff.
Ensuring best practices are followed for safety, equipment training and record-keeping.
Working with management and the mechanic to maintain annual capital equipment replacement budgets for all course-related equipment.
Prefer a diploma or degree in agronomy/horticulture/plant/soil science from a recognized turf management program or equivalent from a college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must hold golf course superintendent status (CGSA, AGSA) and involved in association.
Must hold a valid Alberta driver’s licence and pesticide application licence.
Must be honest, courteous, and hard working and have a professional image.
The golf course superintendent reports to the general manager and, when requested, the board in all facets of the club’s grounds operations.
Salary: Based on experience.
