The Canadian Tour board of directors has added a former Ontario Solicitor General and an ex-LPGA vice president.
Lon Fellenz began his golf career with the Tallahassee Open in Florida. After 16 years with the Jack Nicklaus golf management company, Executive Sports International, he joined the LPGA, where he held positions in International Tournament Affairs and Tournament Business Affairs.
He is currently the owner of Rising Sun Golf LLC, an international golf consulting firm based in Tallahassee, and is a member of the executive committee for the Memorial Tournament.
David Tsubouchi has over 30 years of experience practicing law in Canada and served nine years as a member of the Ontario Legislative Assembly.
He has held cabinet posts as Minister of Community and Social Services, Minister of Consumer and Commercial Relations, Solicitor General, Chair of the Management Board of Cabinet and Minister of Culture. Before that, he served six years on council for the Town of Markham in Ontario.
“David Tsubouchi and Lon Fellenz bring tremendous strength to the board of the Canadian Tour” said Canadian Tour Chairman Jim Kabrajee.
“We are looking forward to their strategic contributions as we continue to move the Canadian Tour forward on the world stage. They bring unique skills to the tour that will add new depth to a board that is already rich in talent,” he added.
