Former PGA of Canada executive director Steve Carroll has been named director of association management services for Toronto-based Managing Matters, a full service association management, event management and creative agency.
“We are delighted to have someone with Steve’s background and leadership skills join our organization,” said Managing Matters president Jenny Faucher.
“His vast experience as an association executive, stellar record of success in association management leadership positions and extensive contacts throughout provincial and national levels of associations across Canada made him a perfect fit for Managing Matters as we continue to provide our clients with leading edge strategies and results driven solutions by working with our dynamic and forward‐thinking team,” she added.
Carroll is president of Canadian Society of Association Executives, Trillium Chapter, and has served in association senior leadership positions for over two decades. Most recently in golf, he served as executive director of the Golf Association of Ontario, a position he left in May.
He was also executive director of the PGA of British Columbia for over 12 years until 2004 before moving on to the PGA of Canada for nearly five years and regional director of membership services for Golf Canada in 2009-10. He has also served as executive director of the Ontario Volleyball Association.
“I am very excited about this opportunity to work with an organization that is breaking new ground, as a leading association management company,” said Carroll.
