Syngenta Canada Inc. has announced the appointment of Scott White to the role of turf specialist, responsible for supporting specialty turf and golf course customers in the Greater Toronto Area and Eastern Ontario.
“Scott has a passion for the industry and a first-hand appreciation for the role of the golf course superintendent,” said Dave Kuypers, head of Lawn and Garden for Canada.
“Adding Scott to our team further strengthens our ability to deliver value and innovative solutions to our customers in this market,” said Kuypers.
A second-generation golf course superintendent, White brings 25 years of public and private golf course experience to this role, including 10 years as the golf course and grounds manager at the Donalda Club in Toronto.
He is also a previous board member of the Ontario Golf Superintendents’ Association.
“I’m very pleased to be serving the Ontario industry in this new capacity,” said White. “I look forward to helping our customers in support of their golf course operations.”
White holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Turf and Turfgrass Management from the University of Guelph and is a graduate of the Turfgrass Management Program at Cornell University.
