Mackenzie Tour PGA Tour Canada president Jeff Monday announced Monday that Scott Pritchard has been promoted to vice president and will oversee certain day-to-day aspects of the Tour.
Pritchard, who is based in the Mackenzie Tour’s Toronto office, has served as director of tournament business affairs since the PGA Tour took ownership of the former Canadian Tour in November 2012.
In his new capacity, Pritchard’s responsibilities will include oversight of business operations and sponsor relations, marketing and communications, and player relations.
“Scott has worked extremely hard since the launch of the tour and his efforts have been instrumental in our ongoing success,” said Monday.
“His experience and understanding of what is required to further elevate the tour will enable him to help us take the tour to even greater heights in the coming years,” added Monday.
Pritchard was retained by the PGA Tour after serving as the Canadian Tour’s director of business development and communications. He previously worked for the PGA of Canada and PGA of Ontario.
“I’m extremely honoured by the appointment and for the opportunity in this new role to continue to grow the Mackenzie Tour,” said Pritchard. “I look forward to the exciting opportunity ahead, working with Jeff and our great team at the Mackenzie Tour.”
