When Adam Hadwin tees off at this week’s Web .com Tour at the Nova Scotia Open in Halifax, he will have the Shaw Communications logo on his right sleeve and golf bag after a recent announcement.
“Adam is a true Canadian talent and one of our brightest up-and-coming stars in professional golf,” said Brad Shaw, CEO of Shaw Communications Inc.
“Adam’s passion for the game is remarkable, and we are proud to have him represent Shaw as he continues climbing the ranks and thrilling Canadians with his play,” he added.
The agreement will continue through all of Hadwin’s tournaments this calendar year.
“I’m honoured to join the Shaw team and contribute to their success,” said Hadwin.
“Having grown up in Western Canada, I’m familiar with all the great work Shaw does in the community and look forward to representing them throughout the remainder of the golf season,” he said.
Hadwin earned his first Web .com Tour win at the Chile Classic earlier this year.
He is currently six on the 2014 tour money list and well-positioned to finish the season in the top 25, which would earn him status on the PGA Tour.
