The Riverside Country Club in Rothesay, N.B., is currently seeking to fill the position of greens and grounds superintendent.
Working with the greens and grounds director and the club’s management group, the superintendent will be charged with input and execution of the club’s long-term course master plan in addition to all other aspects of the position.
Graduate of an acknowledged turfgrass maintenance program.
Minimum of five years in a supervisory/management capacity.
Course renovation experience (drainage, tee and green construction).
Understanding of soil, grass and fertility.
Development and implementation of proactive sound agronomic policies and practices.
Knowledge of purchasing, staff training, equipment maintenance and budgeting.
Lead and teach by example.
Problem solving skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of the management (clubhouse, finance, golf) team.
Passionate support of a club’s vision and strategy.
Ability to consistently work irregular hours, nights and weekends.
Adherence to budgets.
