The Royal Oaks Golf and Country Club in Moncton, N.S., is looking for a course superintendent who will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the course maintenance department.
Duties will include scheduling, training, motivating and managing a crew of 20 equipment operators, managing course maintenance budgets, maintaining adherence to the established turf maintenance plan and keeping course conditions at a high level.
Other duties include monitoring pesticide/fertilizer applications and record-keeping and assisting equipment, spray and irrigation technicians.
The successful candidate will have a post-secondary turfgrass education, experience as a superintendent, computer proficiency, excellent communication and organization skills, strong leadership abilities and initiative and attention to detail.
Deadline for application is March 7.
The Rustico Resort Golf and Tennis Club in Cornwall, PEI., seeks an assistant superintendent.
The applicant will be required to plan and implement schedules and projects, make mechanical repairs and adjustments, apply chemicals, upgrade and repair irrigation and have a knowledge of daily golf course maintenance.
The successful appliant will have a valid PEI Pesticide Applicator Certificate or the ability to get one, exceptional communication skills, experience in all aspects of golf course maintenance and completion of a recognized turf program or current involvement in one.
