Morgan Court of Toronto will begin her new role as education administrator for the Canadian PGA on Monday.
In accepting the new position, Court leaves her post a volunteer coordinator for Special Olympics Canada, where she developed volunteer orientation and recruitment resources, working with stakeholders to ensure that resource content supported strategic goals.
She also helped establish new tactics and tools to provide chapters with new and enhanced methods for recruiting and orienting volunteers.
“Having worked with a couple of our key partners in her career, Morgan will hit the ground running and our Canadian PGA members will benefit from her enthusiasm and knowledge in this key area,” said Canadian PGA executive director Gary Bernard.
Morgan has a Bachelor of Arts in Social and Applied Human Sciences from the University of Guelph and a Sport and Event Marketing Certificate in the post-graduate program from George Brown College.
She also worked as a CN Canadian Women’s Open intern in 2009 with Golf Canada, in group sales and marketing with the London Knights hockey team and game day operations for the University of Guelph athletics department. .
Major areas of focus will include contribution to the long term viability and success of Canadian PGA continuing education, continual improvement and success of education offerings and the managing of operations for the Canadian PGA national education schedule.
