An e-mail circulating through city hall in Burnaby, B.C., appears to implicate that city officials may be attempting to skew the results of an online poll that asks if the city should award free golf passes to officials and volunteers. The poll comes after a report that city officials received $42,000 worth of free golf last year. Jacob Zinn of Burnaby Now has the story here … Over the years, tournament organizers have sought the attendance of marquee names to heighten the interest level in their events and while their presence would still be a postive, HSBC’s global head of sponsorship and event says that in Asia, the games popularity goes beyond a few well-known individuals.
