Minor damage from heavy rainfall has occurred at Lethbridge Country Club in Lethbridge, Alta., which closed Thursday as part of a city mandate to keep the Oldman River valley evacuated.
The situation appears to be temporary with tentative plans to open the pro shop, clubhouse and practice facilities at noon on Friday and have tee times being at 1 p.m., based on the projected lifting of the evacuation on Friday morning.
The evacuation comes almost a year after Calgary and surrounding areas were flooded, affecting several golf courses in that region.
