Golf Manitoba has named Kevin O’Donovan its sixth president at the association’s annual general meeting held at the Rossmere Country Club.
A member of the Breezy Bend Country Club, O’Donovan has been a board member since 2008 and has focused on marketing and communications. He is currently the regional director of the Prairie Chapter of the National Golf Course Owners Association.
“I am very honoured to be appointed to the role of president of Golf Manitoba and am very much looking forward to working with our board during my term,” said O’Donovan.
“I would also like to express my appreciation to our past president, Rob MacDonald, for his leadership and to our board members and volunteers who make Golf Manitoba stewards of the game,” he added.

In other news from the AGM, Tuelon’s Aaron Cockerill and Josh Wytinck of Pine Ridge Golf Club were named co-winners of the Manitoba Amateur Golfer of the Year Award, making just the second time in 39 years that dual recipients shared that award.
Bob Forcand of Breezy Bend was named the seventh recipient of the Golf Manitoba Distinguished Service Award.
