Chris Meyer has joined Acushnet Canada as FootJoy brand manager, leading efforts to grow sales, market share and profitability for the brand.
Meyer joins FootJoy with an extensive background in product marketing and sales. He spent the past 16 years at Nike where he held several senior roles, both in Canada and in Europe, including brand manager – running, a position in which he was responsible for all functional business groups for the product category.

Foot Joy is also seeking a product manager, who will report to the brand manager and be responsible for product planning and marketing.
Duties will include managing the product throughout the product life cycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision and working closely with the global product teams to deliver winning products.
It also includes working with sales, marketing, and operations to ensure revenue along with margin targets are exceeded. The product manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company’s overall strategy and goals.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
Lead the product line selection.
Develop collaborative plans to exceed revenue and margin objectives.
Execute product and sales presentations to sales team and key accounts.
Work with internal teams to develop annual sales forecasts and marketing plans.
Develop sales tools and collateral.
Maintain competitive product offering analysis.
Design and implement customer training programs.
Be an expert with respect to the marketplace.
Minimum three years of experience as a product manager or product marketing manager.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
University or college degree in marketing or equivalent field.
Excellent team working skills.
Ability to travel extensively to participate in Canadian key account presentations, trade shows, local and international sales, marketing and product development meetings.
Work experience in the golf industry preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
