Nomination deadline for the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association’s Environmental Award is Oct. 31.
The award recognizes the specific achievements of golf course superintendents and their staff in promoting and preserving the special relationship between golf course properties and environmentally sustainable business practices.
Consideration will be given to initiatives that demonstrate the potential for ongoing benefit and application to other facilities, as well as to measurable results.
The applicant must be a superintendent or golf course management member of the CGSA.
The author of the chosen submission will receive an all-inclusive registration package for the 2016 Canadian Golf Course Management Conference (CGCMC) in Toronto, Jan. 11-15, four nights accommodation at the host hotel; and round trip economy airfare to the conference location,
Also included is a trip to FarmLinks, which is located at Pursell Farms in Sylacauga, Ala., and a Club Car utility vehicle.
The recipient of the award will receive their Environmental Award plaque during the Awards Lunch on Tuesday, January 12th in Toronto.
