Experience in golf course/turfgrass management.
A diploma or degree in turfgrass/golf course management or a related field.

A willingness to adapt to new methods and standards.
The ability to obtain a Nova Scotia pesticide applicators licence within the first 90 days of employment.
The ability to analyze and solve problems, efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision.
The ability to collect and analyze data and input into a report.
Reports daily to the golf course superintendent on course activities and assignment completion.
Assisting the superintendent with monitoring of daily water requirements, maintaining the irrigation central control system and pump station.
Pressurizing and winterizing the irrigation system.
Overseeing the proper installation, repair, and maintenance of the irrigation system.
Maintain a monthly inventory of all irrigation parts and specialty tools.
Responsible for updating and maintaining relevant irrigation maps and records.
Overseeing proper repair of on-course project work with the direction of the superintendent.
Although irrigation focused, the ability to assist and direct various cultural programs, projects, turf applications and supervise teams at all times.
