The Beach Grove Golf Club, an 18-hole private club in the seaside community of Tsawwassen, South Delta, B.C., is seeking an assistant superintendent.
The assistant reports to and works cooperatively with the superintendent to provide professional support in managing all aspects of the golf course operation including a high level of the administrative burden, as required.

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
Degree, diploma or certificate from a recognized university or college turf management program or a combination of relative education and experience.
Advanced knowledge and experience in agronomy and integrated pest management principles.
Strong business acumen.
Proficient with MS office software and databases.
A thorough understanding of the rules and strategies of golf, including the relationship and influence of maintenance practices and programs.
Knowledge and experience of golf course construction techniques, project planning and management.
Comprehensive knowledge of irrigation scheduling through central control and application and monitoring technology. Knowledge of Rainbird Stratus central control and software platform will be an asset
Current B.C. pesticide applicators certificate or ability to obtain such within 60 days from commencing employment.
Valid B.C. drivers licence.
Occupational First Aid Level 1 or higher.
The compensation package will be commensurate to the successful applicant’s experience and education.
