The Saskatoon Golf and Country Club is in need of an assistant golf course superintendent.
To assist the golf course superintendent and equipment manager in a team approach in the implementation of all maintenance schedules, and capital projects.
Assist in the hiring of new staff.
Assist in the training of staff in the safe operation and care of maintenance equipment.
Supervision of staff to ensure completion of all daily tasks with particular attention to detail.
Able to balance supervision with the hands on approach in getting the job done and setting the proper example with the staff.
Must interact in a positive manner with the membership.
Must hold or be able to get ASAP a Saskatchewan Pesticide Applicators Licence.
Applicants should have a minimum of two years of post secondary education in turf management and five years of practical experience.
Knowledgeable in all aspects of computerized irrigation operation and system repair.
Must have extensive experience in all aspects of fertilizer and pesticide application as well as detailed record-keeping.
Strong computer skills an asset, (MS Word, Excel, GCM for windows, Rainbird Cirrus Irrigation).
Being mechanically inclined an asset .

Rivershore Golf Links in Kamloops, B.C., requires an assistant superintendent who is an energetic individual to participate in all areas of the day-to-day running of the golf course maintenance department, which includes 15 seasonal employees.
Help plan and execute maintenance programs.
Help train staff in the safe operation and care of golf course equipment.
Supervise and work with staff to carry out daily maintenance duties to the highest level of care and attention.
Scheduling and repair of irrigation system.
Assist with the planning, record-keeping and implementation of our fertility and pesticide program.
Diploma or degree in Golf Course Management
Must hold a BC Pesticide Applicator’s certificate
Valid BC driver’s licence.
Hands-on experience with Toro Osmac irrigation contract an asset.
Minimum five years golf course related practical work

Winnipeg’s John Blumberg Golf Course requires a golf course superintendent to oversee the golf course maintenance duties at the public, 27-hole, municipal operation.
The successful candidate will be an energetic, working superintendent or assistant superintendent to look after all the outside operations, including hiring and training of staff, reel sharpening, spraying and fertilizing (should have or can get pesticide licence) and generally maintaining the facility to a first class standard.
Mechanical aptitude would be a benefit.
Mid-season has 15 to 17 people. Gas allowance and playing privileges are among the benefits offered.
Start Date would be March 15 or earlier, depending on negotiations.
