It will be difficult to find anybody in Canadian golf — actually many in golf around the world, from tour pros to club pros to superintendents to administrators — who won’t feel the impact of a recent decision by Canadian Golf Hall of Fame member Lorne Rubenstein.
Rubenstein has decided to retire after 32 years as golf writer/columnist for the Globe & Mail after this month’s RBC Canadian Open at Hamilton Golf and Country Club.
In what is sure to be the first of many to follow, Bruce Dowbiggin recalls the stellar career of Rubenstein and his reasons for this decision. You can read that Globe & Mail column here.
Of course, Rubenstein is currently enjoying great success with his most recent book, Moe & Me. He chatted with GNN prior to its release earlier this year in this audio file. You can also read portions of Moe & Me here, here, here and here.
