The new Nike SQ Machspeed Black driver is available in 460 c.c. round and square head shapes, both designed to move air quickly over the clubhead to reduce drag and generate faster clubhead speed.
The SQ Machspeed Black is also made to produce lower ball flight and decreased spin rates than the original SQ Machspeed for longer drives.
“It feels like it explodes off of the face,” said 2009 U.S. Open champion Lucas Glover.
The SQ Machspeed Black drivers offer Nike’s STR8-FIT technology, which delivers eight face angle options. The square version is built for forgiveness and stability, while the he round is for golfers who desire more workability and shot shaping.
Both drivers come with Mistsubishi Rayons lightweight Fubuki shafts. Both are available in 8.5, 9.5, 10.5, 11.5 and HL lofts in right-handed and 9.5 and 10.5 in left-handed. Four different shaft flexes are available.
Women’s loft options include 11.5 and HL in right-handed models.
