The new Grain Flow Forged MP-59 irons feature Mizuno’s next generation Ti Muscle technology with a titanium insert forged into the centre of the muscle to provide cavity-like forgiveness in a half cavity design.
During the Grain Flow Forging process, 12 grams of pure titanium material is forged into the muscle of the MP-59s to deliver a five per cent larger sweet area than the MP-58s that debuted with Ti Muscle technology.
With a lower centre of gravity and larger sweet area, the MP-59s are designed for easier launch and more forgiveness.
“With Mizuno’s Ti Muscle technology, we’ve preserved the soft feel and compact head size that Mizuno MP players expect, while increasing forgiveness, which is truly the holy grail combination of performance characteristics for today’s more serious players,” said Dick Lyons, vice president and general manager of Mizuno USA.
The MP-59 irons have a slightly smaller head size and shape than the MP-58s for enhanced workability. A double nickel chrome finish, highlighted by black chrome stainless steel accent, adds an elegant and durable finish.
Modified U-grooves conform to 2010 Condition of Competition guidelines.
Right and lefthanded models are available with a Dynamic Gold S300 shaft and a Golf Pride M-21 grip.
