Mizuno has introduced its JPX technology to North America, with the unveiling of its JPX-800 irons designed for distance through the combination of maximum COR, a Hot Metal Face construction and exotic pocket cavity to reach maximum allowable limits for energy transfer.
Hot Metal construction utilizes a new manufacturing process that increases the material’s natural strength to create and thin and multi-thickness face for increased, consistent ball speed. The pocket cavity with external power bar expands and extends the sweet spot and lowers the centre of gravity.
An aggressive triple cut sole is designed to ensure solid ball striking from all lies, while a multi-material cavity badge is in place to tune impact sound and enhance feel.
These one-piece Grain Flow Forged irons have a large cavity that is created by using a CNC cavity milling process to thin the face to increase ball speed for greater distance and enhance a low, deep centre of gravity for increased forgiveness.
The JPX-800 Pros are designed to enhance sound and feel at impact through Modal Analysis and Harmonic Impact Technologies and feature modified U-Grooves to meet the 2010 Condition of Competition.
