In the pursuit of more ball speed leading to more distance, Callaway is putting the same 360 Cup technology that it uses in its fairway woods into the new Big Bertha irons.
The 360 Cup is designed to promote ball speed across a more flexible face to make the ball jump with more speed, even on mis-hits.
The new Big Bertha irons also feature Internal Standing Wave to offer a low centre of gravity for higher moment of inertia to help shots launch higher for up to two more clubs in distance, according to Callaway.
The sole designs are wider in the longer irons for more confidence and smaller in the shorter irons that are typically easier to hit. They also have a Hollow Body Construction.
Shaft options include a True Temper Speed Steep 80 and UST Recoil Graphite.
