The new Great Big Bertha driver from Callaway Golf comes in lofts of nine, 10.5 and 13.5 degrees, an adjustable driver with a light, fast, stable, multi-material chassis to provide more distance.
Next generation R*MOTO technology is used to provide the structure with a thinner face for high ball speeds on centre and off-centre hits, while Adjustable Perimeter Weighting on the perimeter of the head is used to improve ball flight and dispersion control with forgiveness.
A 10 gram sliding weight on the perimeter of the clubhead adds stability and slides the weight for more dispersion control to hit drives on line, with more draw and fade bias options, more additional draw bias than ever before, without sacrificing forgiveness.
The weight slides easily to any position you want on the track and the Optifit hosel allows choice of eight different configurations to tune loft, lie and face angle.
Stock Standard Shafts include MRC Bassara (43g), Mitsubishi Kuro Kage Black 50, Fujikura Evolution 665 Tour Spec and Mitsubishi Diamana D+ 70.
Great Big Bertha Fairway Woods
The new Great Big Bertha Fairway Woods come in three wood (15.5 degrees stock), five wood (18 stock), seven wood (21), Heavenwood (20.5 stock), Divine 9 (24) and have the Forged Hyper Speed Face Cup for forgiveness, control and more distance on centre and off-centre hits.
The Great Big Bertha fairways feature a bigger head and the Modern Warbird Sole for ease of hitting.
The head is larger than our typical fairway wood to achieve a higher MOI for more forgiveness. The Warbird Soleplate also offers ease of hitting from a variety of lies with a mid-launching trajectory.
The Special Heavenwood and Divine Nine Options offer a unique combination and tighter dispersion than a regular club configuration. The Heavenwood (20.5 degree loft, 43-inch shaft) and Divine Nine (24 degrees, 42-inch shaft) offer better gapping.
OptiFit Adjustability allows the user to tune the fairway wood to desired settings through eight-way adjustability that adds loft, takes loft off or adjusts the lie angle to fit your swing. OptiFit Adjustability is not available in seven wood and Divine 9.
Big Bertha Alpha 816 Double Black Diamond Driver
Callaway has also introduced the Big Bertha Alpha 816 Double Black Diamond driver, which is available in lofts of nine and 10.5 degrees.
The new Big Bertha Alpha 816 Double Black Diamond driver is built for lower handicap players and features the new Dual Distance Chambers.
Using the Gravity Core for more ball speed, just pick your Distance Chamber for a draw or neutral setting. Then, flip the Gravity Core up or down depending on where your normal impact location is on the face.
Set the gravity core up for impact locations above centre, or down for impact locations at centre or below to get the desiged ball flight, with maximized ball speed set to impact location.
Other features include next generation R*MOTO Technology that provides the structure with a thinner face, leading to high ball speeds on centre and off-center hits.
A deeper face, traditional shape and low centre of gravity to reduce spin for greater forgiveness and increased workability and a black matte finish are other feature as is OptiFit Adjustability, allowing the user to tune to the desired settings with eight-way adjustability that adds loft, takes loft off or adjusts the lie angle.
Stock Standard Shafts include the Aldila Rogue I/O 60 and Mitsbuishi Diamana D+ 70.
Big Bertha Alpha 816 Fairway Woods
The new Big Bertha Alpha 816 Fairway Woods come in standard lofts of 14, 16 and 18 degrees and feature the Forged Hyper Speed Face Cup to generate ball speed on centre and off-centre shots.
Three and 16 gram weights (3g and 16g) can be adjusted for desired ball flight. When lower spin is desired. put the weight forward and when the weight is back , it offers more forgiveness with higher launch. It can be a long option off the tee or a more playable club on approach shots.
A slightly larger head is used to provide more MOI, while the sole design provides control from a variety of lies. The matte black finish is a feature used to provide a clean look at address.
OptiFit Adjustability is also a feature.
