Introduced last summer as a limited edition, Callaway is bringing the Apex Black Irons back to the market.
The Apex Blacks uses its category-defining 360 Face Cup technology that is used to provide consistent ball speed across the face and playability in a forged players iron.
An all-black look, featuring a Satin Black finish on the clubhead and premium shaft options, including a stepless True Temper XP95 with black finish, offer a unique appearance. Also, a vast no-upcharge list allows golfers to customize their sets.
The Apex Blacks also come with progressive offset, sole width, centre of gravity height and notch weighting to provide a proper balance of ball flight, playability, forgiveness and control in each iron.
The longer irons feature more offset for more forgiveness, while the shorter irons have a more compact shape for less offset for feel and control.
The construction goes through the whole set to create a combination of distance, feel and control.
The longer irons (three through seven) utilize the Cup 360 to increase ball speeds and forgiveness across the face. In the shorter irons (eight through AW), an engineered face plate is used to enhance feel and distance control.
Callaway has also applied a precise quadruple net forging, precision milling and 1025 mild carbon steel to produce soft feel in a forged iron.
