Our tournament rounds are up a bit as is our corporate businesses. The key is to evaluate it compared to last year, not three years ago, the way the Alberta economy has gone.
Member play is not as high as I’d like, but we’re just getting into a new promotion, the launch of a new package, and we’ve mailed out flyers with the objective of getting our numbers up.
I think the economy is getting a little bit better. People seem to be a little more trusting these days, which wasn’t always the case, so we’re trying to be more visible in the marketplace, get a message to people.
As far as the economy goes, we’ve still got a long way to go, but what I’m seeing is a lot of positivity. A lot of members who were out of work are now going back to work, so there isn’t a lot of doom and gloom.
I’m not sure the economy will ever get back to where it was a few years ago, but the positive attitude I see out there is a good start to putting us on the right track.
