The 100th anniversary of the Canadian PGA in 2011 is a huge milestone. I think all of the association members and the people involved with the Canadian PGA should be proud of the centennial.
Hopefully, with the PACE program now passed, our association gets stronger and stronger and we’re well on our way into the next 100 years.
The people in charge have the football and let’s keep running with it – don’t stop. We’ve had a bunch of good news lately and we want to keep going. It will make the centennial that much sweeter if the good news continues.
With the expanse of this country, I don’t know how many people from the west coast will be flying east to be part of the official celebrations.
I know they’re going to have a golf event and a big reception, but with busy schedules and expensive travel these days, it makes it tough to be on hand, even though I’m sure there will be a nice big core of people from the local area and, hopefully, the media is on board with it.
It’s tough to be an association covering so many regions of a huge country. You want to celebrate 100 years because it is such a huge milestone, but are you representing the whole association with the celebration in just one part of the country.
It will be interesting to see how it goes. I’m sure they will do what they think is best for the association.
