The response that I received after announcing a few weeks ago that I was leaving Coppinwood has been overwhelming and heart-warming.
Actually, I’m still popping in to Coppinwood.
We’re still working together on a couple of things, so I’m still going in to help in any way I can. I’m happy, I feel great and everything has been very amicable. I’m certainly happy with the way I was treated and I think they’re happy with the way I treated them.
I’ve heard from a lot of friends both inside and outside the industry who want to get together, have a coffee and just network. You don’t expect it, but it’s really quite nice when people reach out, even friends that I keep in touch with from high school.
At this point, there is no timetable for what’s the next chapter in my life will bring. Conversations are ongoing, but there is no rush at this point and we’ll just see what transpires.
In the meantime, I enjoy meeting with people and hearing from everybody, which is a big reason why I always say there’s no other business like the golf industry.
