Ah, the first long weekend of the summer, even if it isn’t officially summer yet.
Even so, the living is easy, at least for the people who came through your door to play golf this May 2-4 weekend. For many of us in the golf industry, not so much, but that goes with the territory.
Despite having to work, it warms our hearts to see all those smiling faces walking through the door. Okay, it also helps the bottom line too, but hey, you deserve it if you worked the long weekend.
So, how did it go for your golf facility?
Was the weather good? Did you get more rounds than you were expecting? Did food and beverage do a brisk business? How were pro shop sales?
Hopefully, business was better than last year when the long weekend came at a time of economic uncertainty and inclement weather that would characterize the 2009 season in many parts of the country.
So, how would you compare this year’s May 2-4 compared to last year? That’s the subject of our GNN Poll now up on the home page.
Be sure to head over to the poll and cast your vote and, as always, we welcome comments below from your part of the country about how things went.
