Looking to reach new levels in decibels, Smith said, “I damn near told them to get a room.” Did you ever think you’d see the day that Sergio was criticized for being sportsmanlike? As goofy as that was, Kellerman was just loudly boring with the old line about golf not being a sport … It could be said I’m playing right into their hands by writing about it, but let ESPN’s version of Lucy and Ethel say what they want, no matter how ridiculous. The critics deserve as much criticism as the original culprits for actually taking them seriously … Last year’s RBC Canadian Open champion Jhonattan Vegas has become a brand ambassador for Mizuno, along with Nick Watney and Lucas Glover and Web .com Tour players Keith Mitchell and Seth Fair. They join Luke Donald, Chris Wood, Adam Schenk and Stacey Lewis … This week’s GNN Poll asks readers how often in the past year have they heard of golfers being asked to change or not being allowed to play at the golf course where they work/play because of what they’re wearing? As of this writing, 66 per cent said it happens once in a while, 24 per cent voted never and 10 per cent said it happens quite often. You can cast your vote on the GNN home page.
