In her blog today, Tiffany Gordon mentions the importance of buyers and vendors working together to meet each other’s needs because the challenges faced by both sides aren’t that much different from each other.
Without giving away too much, Tiff also mentions the importance of supporting those who support us in relationships between companies and golf shops that have built up over the years.
Those types of relationships are golden and they get stronger every year. Even though golf shops strive to provide new products that may cause a buzz among members or clients, it’s also human nature to turn to companies that have earned our trust over the years.
The company sales representative is obviously a key person in establishing this solid relationship, but the company itself could be quite supportive of various endeavours you undertake at your facility throughout the year. Those are two pillars that help support the relationship that builds over the years.
With the Canadian buying show season in full swing now, those companies will be your first stop if you haven’t already previewed their new products for 2011 and that brings us to the topic of this week’s GNN Poll.
How many companies would you say are in your core group that will always get at least some of your business every year?
We’d also like to hear about individual reps who stand out in your mind for outstanding service or going beyond the call of duty to help you out. Tell us your thoughts in the Comments section located just below this blog.
