We’re already at mid-November, just over a month away from Christmas, but you would never know it in some parts of the country recently. Some are still playing golf, a situation that can change quickly as we all know, but hey, why not get in a bonus round at the end of the season?
Winter lasts long enough in most parts of Canada, so a November round, even when you’re layered up, is a cherished last gasp that you’ll need to hold until next spring, or until you get down south for that winter getaway.
Are you planning to visit a warm weather destination over the next few months, with pleasure the main focus as opposed to a business trip? Will you be teeing it up in Arizona, Florida, California, Hawaii, the Caribbean or any other location where you can also kick back on a beach afterwards?
Or are you staying home this winter?
Is the exchange rate a little too much too handle?
Are you concerned about job security, or that the golf business you own or work for is in a precarious situation and don’t want to take a chance?
Is the cost of living getting too high and there are are other priorities?
Or do you just say to yourself that a vacation is the one thing every year that you and your family can look forward to and the expense of a week or two or even longer in the sun is worth the investment?
That’s the topic of this week’s GNN Poll.
