Contrasting that good news article is the results of last week’s GNN Poll that asked respondents how business has been at the golf operations where they work since the recession of 2008-09. The majority, or 42 per cent, said business was worse than back then, with 37 per cent saying there had been no improvement. Only 16 per cent said business was marginally better and five per cent said it was significantly better … Roger Sloan will likely have to wait at least another week before he gets going on the PGA Tour. For the second consecutive week, Sloan is an alternate at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas, where Graham DeLaet, Adam Hadwin, David Hearn and Nick Taylor are in the field … Brad Thomas, the popular PING sales rep in British Columbia, continues to progress after his stroke in January.
