I really have no opinion on foot golf and I’m not even sitting on the fence on this one. To me, it’s just a whole lot of so-what wrapped up in apathy. If golf operators want to make their facilities available to increase revenue, or to answer local interest in the golf-soccer hybrid, so be it.
Yet, as this story from the Golf Channel points out, there has been snarling from traditional golfers about foot golf, which continues to grow globally, in the United States and, as this story in the Times Colonist points out, in Canada.
Having said that, I don’t see foot golf replacing traditional golf anytime soon and I’m sure most operators would agree with me.
One thing is for sure, that being that I can’t see any of the usual bucket list golf courses introducing foot golf.
Whether foot golf is a growing trend or just a fad remains to be seen, but we’d like to hear your thoughts on the subject through this week’s GNN Poll.
