At the end of this week, we’re shutting GNN down, but before the speculation begins, we’re only taking a holiday break and will be back in action in early January.
Since its inception in 2008, GNN has been a daily concern for me and behind-the-scenes creative guy Steve Woods and as much as we enjoy that day-to-day relationship with you characters in the Canadian golf industry, the holidays are a time to refresh with family and friends.
Of course, there’s a certain responsibility that goes with a website such as GNN and we’ll be on call if a breaking story takes place. I must admit that I will also be putting stories together for the New Year and working on other projects such as my Sun Media column.
Even though I’ll be sneaking away from the festivities to get things done, the holidays will at least offer the opportunity to gear down for a couple of weeks and work at a more relaxed pace compared to the rest of the year.
We at GNN wish the best to you and yours this holiday season and hope that, whether you sneak in a bit of work or just take a week or two off, you come back well-rested and refreshed after spending quality time with friends and family.
We’re wondering though whether you will sneak some work in, or simply shut down once your operation closes its doors for the holidays. That’s the subject of this week’s GNN Poll.
How would you describe your work schedule over the holidays?
- Sneak in a few hours here and there. (53%)
- Other than main holidays, business as usual. (33%)
- Non-existant. That's my time! (13%)
Also, feel free to share with GNN readers any special holiday plans you might have in the Comments section of this blog.
