The best way to create an awareness is to have the public and media jump all over the Finance minister to invoke the required changes to the Tax Benefit for Businessmen who take their clients out Golfing.
I believe a petition signed by Industry and presented to the Minister with the appropriate media Fanfare would bring a greater public awareness to the inequities that GOLF is indeed a ligitimate business expense.
Let’s talk dollars and cents…as to how much money the Government is spending on the promotion of a get fit lifestyle…and they do not include Golf, What seems to be their reasoning for such a hypocritical position.
The Government talks about supporting the growth of the Canadian economy but fails to recognize the importance to Canadians that the game of Golf has become, and growing industry/sport faster than any other industry/sport for ALL ages, including the often ignored Seniors.
If the business community became an honest vocal participant where in they acknowledge the amount of business deals that are made on the Golf Course…that alone would identify the actifvity as a stimulus to the economy.
As a small business owner, it is only common sense to change this old an out dated tax law to best represent the game of Golf, businesses, and the Canadian people ALL who could benefit.
