Ping K15s Are Straight Shooters
August 2, 2010 by GNN
The K15 Series from PING is engineered to help golfers shots back on line and back in play.
Using an innovation known as Straight Flight Technology, PING engineers developed the line with product features to promote straighter and longer ball flights.
More weight is concentrated in the sole near the heel of the driver and fairway woods to help players rotate the club face to a more square impact position for straighter shots.
The larger head and face profiles of the driver and fairway woods are features to promote higher moment of inertia for greater forgiveness and increased ball speed.
The driver is available in 9.5, 10.5 and 12 degree lofts and comes with a TFC 149D graphite shaft that’s available in several flexes.
The fairway woods are available in three, five and seven wood and have a TFC 149F graphite shaft available in several flexes.
K15 Iron / Hybrid Set
The K15 iron/hybrid set allows golfers to customize for improved ball flight and consistency.
The set configuration offers five and six irons, as well as five and six hybrids to provide blended set options for golfers who prefer hybrids to mid-irons.
A multi-metal iron design combines a large, lightweight titanium face with a 17-4 stainless steel body to increase both forgiveness and launch conditions.
Weight saved from the titanium face is allocated to the sole and perimeter with the goal of more accuracy and higher ball flights.
Available in three through six models, the K15 hybrids provide easy-to-hit alternatives to long and mid-irons. They rely on an extremely high moment of inertia and a patent-pending feature designed to create lower-spinning, higher-launching shots that fly higher, longer and straighter.
Irons available include five through nine with four wedge options in AWT steel or TFC 149i graphite shafts with several flex options. Hybrids include three through six with TFC 149H graphite shafts.
