Couples Recalls His Canadian Connection

Freddie Couples is in Canada for the second time in the past few weeks after playing the Montreal Championship on the Champions Tour before moving on to Toronto for the RBC Canadian Open at St. George’s Golf and Country Club.

At age 50, “Boom Boom” still draws a crowd and he says he enjoys the crowds in Canada, a country that he used to visit quite frequently as a junior. Read more in Ian Hutchinson’s Sun Media column by clicking here.

Actually Fred has been in Canada three times recently, having been in The Skins Game at Bear Mountain in Victoria in late June.
His Canadian connection is a strong one. One of the trivia questions we use on occasion is…….what golfer has won the BC Junior, the BC Amateur and The Masters……….that’s right…..Freddie.

    Barrie

You are correct Barrie. I was talking about July but definitely Freddie was at the Skins Game at Bear Mountain and talks fondly about his connections in BC.
