Third Party Distributors: Friend Or Foe?
June 14, 2010 by GNN
About three weeks ago, GNN ran its weekly poll asking readers this question:
Do you use or would you consider using a third party Internet tee time distributor/program?
The results were lopsided as 88 per cent of respondents answered no, with just 12 per cent replying with a yes. So, clearly golf course operators fear losing control of their pricing and are wary of third party distributors.
Golf Business Canada, the magazine of the National Golf Course Owners Association, took a look at this issue with the feature story, Third Party Distributors. Friend Or Foe? in its most recent issue. It also offers a few tips on what to look for in such an arrangement and how to keep control of your inventory.
You can read that story here. It’s in PDF format, so click Feature to get to the article.
