Canadian Off To Pebble Beach

Regina’s Kent Eger will join Mike Weir and Stephen Ames as Canadians playing in next week’s U.S. Open at Pebble Beach.
Eger, a regular on the Canadian Tour who won the 2008 Seaforth Country Classic, posted top spot in Portland, Ore., with rounds of 68-66 in Open sectional qualifying.
Tied for second in Portland was England’s Matthew Richardson, who lives in Woodbridge, Ont., who also earns a berth in the U.S. Open.
Other Canadian Tour players will be at Pebble Beach including:
- Jason Allred
- Hugo Leon
- Eric Justesen
- Dan McCarthy

Kent Eger qualifies for US Open.
