LeBrun Aims To Enhance CPGA Events

Adam LeBrun of Guelph, Ont., has joined the Canadian PGA as coordinator of tournaments and events.

LeBrun spent 10 years with the Royal Canadian Golf Association/Golf Canada where he spent seven years as coordinator of rules and competitions and three as handicap coordinator.

“My goal is to make all Canadian PGA national tournaments and events bigger and better every single year and I’m going to hit the ground running,” said LeBrun.

At the RCGA/Golf Canada, LeBrun was responsible for course and championship set-up, managing budgets for the Championship Division, complete management of host club volunteer committees, maintaining relationships with players, governors and club officials and the management of the RCGA Rules Education Program and Amateur Status.

He is one of only four people in the world to be certified at the highest level of the Rules of Golf by the RCGA, USGA and R&A.

“Adam is well known around the world for his rules of golf accomplishments and the experience he earned at Golf Canada will enhance all of our Canadian PGA National tournaments and events,” said Canadian PGA executive director Gary Bernard.

LeBrun has a degree in sports administration from Durham College near Toronto and played on the Durham Lords varsity golf team.

With the Canadian PGA, he will focus on long term viability, success and offerings of Canadian PGA national tournaments and events, securing future sites for all national championships, event budgeting and inventory maintenance.
