Cobra S2 Max Offers Iron/Hybrid Options

The new S2 Max from Cobra comes in both iron and iron-hybrid sets, both designed for forgiveness and high launch for mid-to-high handicap players.

“The Cobra S2 Max Iron-Hybrid Integrated Set has been specifically designed and tested to achieve correct and consistent distance gaps between clubs,” said Tom Preece, vice president of research and development for Cobra Golf.

“The set comes pre-customized with hybrids and irons, so players don’t have to choose which irons need to be replaced by hybrids. In addition, the hybrids were designed utilizing the technology of our No. 1-selling Baffler hybrid and provide the superior forgiveness, accuracy and versatility that mid- to high-handicap golfers desire.”

The clubface features Cobra’s 9 Point Face Technology to help increase ball speed on shots hit across the face. The irons feature a wide sole and a low profile, while the hybrids are deep-faced with high moment of inertia.

The Cobra S2 Max iron-hybrid set is available in two sets for men and one for women and seniors.

The men’s graphite set includes three, four and five hybrids, with six through pitching wedge irons with Aldila DVS-HL shafts, while the men’s steel set features three and four hybrids, with five through pitching wedge irons and FST steel shafts.

Women’s and seniors’ sets include four, five and six hybrids, seven through pitching wedge and sand wedge irons with Aldila DVS-HL graphite shafts. Gap and sand wedges are also available separately for all sets.

The S2 Max irons also feature 9 Point Face Technology and are a cavity back design to complement the wide sole and low profile.
