Can You Cut It In Montreal?
April 13, 2010 by GNN
Golfers aged 50 and over have a shot at participating in a Champions Tour event through a two-tiered qualifying event that could lead to a spot in the inaugural Montreal Championship.
An open pre-qualifier will be conducted on Friday, June 25, at Le Blainvillier Golf Club near Montreal. The pre-qualifier field will be limited to 144 players with applications accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
The five low finishers from the pre-qualifying round will advance to the final qualifying round on Tues., June 29. The competition is open to both professionals and amateurs over 50 years of age, but if an amateur qualifies for the tournament, he must turn pro before the tournament.
