CPGA Radio Is On Location At GNN
April 8, 2010 by Ian Hutchinson
For months after GNN launched back in 2008, I was regularly asked if I was up every morning at 4 a.m. to send out the e-mail blasts that subscribers get in their inboxes.
While I would like to say that I’m that ambitious, this old editor definitely needs his beauty sleep and many would say I’m still not getting enough! Tough crowd.
Those e-mails are actually sent out automatically, but because they have already arrived by the time readers get to their computers, we’ve been told that GNN has become a morning ritual, even though we welcome you to click on any time throughout the day, not just with your double-double and apple fritter.
As of Monday, we’ll be adding a regular feature on the GNN home page that will allow you to enjoy some additional content on top of the traditional written stories you’ve come to expect. When you finish reading those, you can check your e-mails or go about other business while listening to the Canadian PGA Radio Show.
The 2010 season for the show began last week with Jeff Dykeman, director of business development and brand for the Canadian PGA, and everybody’s favourite curmudgeon, veteran Hamilton Spectator writer Garry McKay, handling hosting duties. We’ll put that show into the GNN archives for those who would like to have a listen.
Dykeman and McKay will deal with issues that affect the golf industry and chat with well-known personalities from the Canadian PGA and from around the trade.
Beginning on Monday, GNN will carry every show throughout the 2010 season. The show can also be heard on cpga.com and TALK 820 AM in Southern Ontario.
Guests on the second show will include PGA Tour player Graham DeLaet, coming off an impressive finish at the Shell Houston Open, Canadian PGA president Glenn Cundari and GNN blogger Kevin Thistle, who also doubles as general manager of Coppinwood in Uxbridge, Ont.
Canadian PGA Radio will add a new dimension to your GNN experience, whether it’s consumed with a double-double and cruller, or in the evening after dinner.
